Criminologist Recommends Lasting Solution to Corruption
Famous Professor of Criminology, Femi Odekunle’s recommendations on punishment for persons convicted of corruption:
1. Full forfeiture of stolen funds.
2. Length of sentence must be adequate and be in a proper prison (not in a Teaching Hospital).
3. National Honors and all Chieftaincy Titles must be withdrawn.
4. Convicts must be barred from politics, and from appointed or elective office.
5. Society must engage in public naming and shaming.
6. Complicit lawyers (especially SAN’s) should attract prison sentence and disbarment.
