Imam As-samadaani Harps on Justice and Equity to Solve Nigeria’s Problem
The Chief Imam of Oriwu Central Mosque, Ikorodu, His Eminence Shaykh Yahya As-Samadaani has identified JUSTICE AND EQUITY as the panacea to grievances and civic unrest in Nigeria. The cleric drop this hint in his Friday sermon which he titled; JUSTICE AND EQUITY :Assamadaani noted that a society full of injustice and oppression can never be peaceful as people will seek jungle justice. He buttress his submission with a song in Yoruba that (“Oni dede l’Olorun, Oba ti o fe abosi,eje ka se ododo k’ale Ni’sim”)
According to him, “Every body in one authority or the other , head of the home ,family, community, the three tiers of Government, the tree arms of government most especially the JUDICIARY which is the
CUSTODIAN OF JUSTICE should take HEED and always remember JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE
DENIED It is much unfortunate ,the judiciary which is meant for checks and balances is failing us by
their crawling attitude to justice. Is this out of laziness ,hypocrisy,disregard for
truth to prevail or indirectly after total collapse of the nation? Let them always remember the word of Allah
“IS ALLAH NOT THE JUDGE OF ALL JUDGES” the cleric asked rhetorically
