“Be Patient, Your Job is Secured”, Kogi Poly Rector Appeals to Aggrieved Staff over Unpaid Salary
The Rector of the institution, Alhaji Issah Mohammed gave the advise while speaking with newsmen in Lokoja.
Alhaji Issah who described the protest embarked upon by some staff of the institution as unfortunate situation noted that Governor Yahaya Bello has promised not to disengage the genuine staff of the state.
He urged them to be patient till the outcome of the screening exercise is published and assured that necessary steps will be taken to safeguard their interest.
The rector maintained that the institution in its effort to ameliorate their suffering has given loan facilities to the affected staff whose salaries have not been paid and appealed for mutual understanding and sacrifice until the situation stabilised.
He also disclosed that he is seeking government’s assistance towards the renovation of the hostels which were constructed in the early seventies adding that there is need for comprehensive renovation to accommodate the steady increase of students.
