Smiles As Gov. Bello Donates Cash to Families of Slain Vigilance Group

Presenting a cash donation of one million Naira to the families of the Deaseased which cut across the three senatorial districts, the Commandant of the vigilance group, Retired Colonel Aliu Hassan said the gesture is to cater for their immediate needs and assured of further assistance.
Retired Colonel Hassan said a condolence letters have been issued that to the families and condoled with them on the loss.
He commended the state government for not neglecting its primary role of maintaining peace and order assuring that the Governor has approved the sponsorship of each of the three thousand vigilance member from the point of entry.
The Commandant who described the Governor’s huge investment in security as unparalleled in the country noted that each ward were recently presented a motorcycle to assist the security agencies.
He however warned against any act of indiscipline among the group noting that whoever is cut stealing, drug abuse and other criminal activities will be dismissed and handed over to the police for prosecution.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiary, the Special Adviser to the Administrator of Okene Local Government Area, Mr. Abdulmalik Omeiza who is also a brother to late Abdulmalik Adam, thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for the gesture and prayed for God’s guidance on the group.
Others who benefited from the gesture includes the family of late Mrs. Magret Ekele and late Bose Dare.
