Kogi Finance Commissioner Hails Yahaya Bello’s New Direction Vision
The Hon. Commissioner of Finance & Economic development, Mukadam Asiwaju Idris thanked the Almighty Allah for bringing to fore the GYB government when kogites are yearning for good governance and the upliftment of her misgoverned land. He opined, that God’s gift to Kogi state in person of Governor Yahaya Bello is unprecedented and marvelous in our sight.
Asiwaju further expressed his eternal gratitude to GYB, for finding him worthy to serve in his government, stating it’s a rare privilege and golden opportunity to contribute his quota to the development of kogi state and humanity in general. Am indeed grateful for the grace,with the assurance of justifying the confidence and trust reposed on me, HCF stated.
It’s crystal clear that your administration two years down the line had changed the sore and unimpressive situation our people, which is now set on a pedestal where dreams are fulfilled and the land developed. Our 5 thematic areas; Education, Health, Agriculture,job creation and women empowerment, infrastructure development, civil and public service reform are very much on course and remarkably impacting the lives of our people.
It’s on record, Kogi state youth has never had it so good in terms of recognition and involvement in government,sustainable empowerment and job creation in sectors like the judiciary, kogi state board of internal revenue, health ministry and the security sector. Today,no wonder, the social vices that snowball to security threat of our people in the past has been drastically curtailed,making the state one of the safest in the country. 
The recently unveiled GYB healthcare plus,building of healthcare centres across the LGA’s,helping hand to health victims and the excellent comment passed by the Hon minister of Health, Dr Isaac Adewole of your profound achievement in the health sector is an eloquent testimony you are on the right path where every citizen regardless of status can access quality and affordable heath services. The GYB model school ongoing in the 21 LGA of the state and sound educational policies is a demonstration of your commitment to a civilized society via quality education for our children.
The new direction infrastructure renaissance has changed the face of the state to a cosmopolitan state. It’s totally a new direction in kogi state as expressed by the Minister of Health.
Most significant, is your fierce courage and unabated commitment to reform the rotten public and civil service through the staff screening exercise initiated by your administration, which has revealed the massive corruption in our system . It was a path no leader dare tow due to the fear of some power block, but it’s the least you could consider in your rapt quest to transform the civil service.
As we celebrate your modest accomplishment in just two years despite dragging challenges and political distraction, its worthy of our commendation and apt to continually support you to push for more, as we believe the remaining years would engender the New direction we seek to the benefit and admiration of our people.
Asiwaju used the auspicious occasion of the anniversary to enjoin kogites to give their unalloyed support to the Governor as a passport to continually enjoy the laudable program the new direction government have in the offing.
