Oluwo Blesses Rovet’s Aspiration For Osun Guber Race
Party faithfuls in their hundreds thronged the Oluwo Palace yesterday as a leading PDP governorship hopeful, Otunba Adebayo Waliyu Oladosu ROVET sought the Royal blessing of His Imperial Majesty, Oba AbdulRasheed Adewale Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwoland.
Otunba ROVET said it is mandatory to seek the blessing of prayer of Oluwo and that of the entirety of Iwoland. He said he couldn’t have went ahead to publicly declare his intent to vie for governorship position without having the nod of his royal father and that of his home, Iwoland.
In his remarks, Oluwo commended Otunba Rovet for his courage so far and peaceful political conducts devoid of calumny, advising him to inculcate an all-inclusive government if given the mandate. Oba Akanbi reiterated his commitment to Iwolokan agenda, saying it is uncompromising. He charged every politician to learn from his comportment as required of a civilized political actor as obtained in developed nations.
The first class monarch, Oba Adewale remarked and sent signals to the leadership of the PDP and other parties not to make the mistake of not fielding one of his subjects as their candidate. He stated that people of Iwoland, regardless of their party affiliation would vote only a party that give the ticket to Iwoland. Oba Akanbi later threw his weight behind the aspiration of OTUNBA ROVET and offered prayers for him.
Otunba Oladosu eulogized the sons, daughters and residents of Iwo for recording highest numbers of voters register during the just concluded Continuous voters Registration, noting it is a green light of our readiness to serve.
