50 Years Old Lawyer Murdered By His Wife In Lagos

The detectives attached to the Divisional Police Headquarters in Ogombo, Ajah area of Lagos, have arrested a 47 years old women for allegedly murdered her husband at Diamonds Estate, Lagos state metropolis.
The incident happened at early hour of today, Thursday when good Samaritan put a distress call to the police.
Lagos Police Boss, CP Edgar Imohimi said that the DPO of Ogombo, Ajah received a call at about 07 30am , that one Mr. Otike Odibi, was allegedly murdered in his house at Diamond Estate, Sango-Tedo Lagos, by his wife, one Mrs Udeme Odibi.
The DPO mobilised a team of detectives to the scene where they found the man lying on his bed in the pool of blood, with his stomach ripped open exposing the intestine.
As if that was not enough, the suspect severed his genital and placed it on his right hand. However, before the arrival of the Police,  Mrs Udeme was about  to commit suicide after allegedly murdered her husband,but unfortunately for her she was rushed to the hospital for treatment by neighbours.
CP Edgal, has directed Crime Scene Detectives from the homicide section of the SCID Panti Yaba and Forensic experts to the scene to aid in the investigation.
The Eye witness revealed that the couple both whom are lawyers, were married three years ago after the deceased divorced his first wife. The deceased first marriage produced a daughter who is currently schooling in the UK.
But the current marriage have no child yet . Further information from a neighbour, revealed that the deceased called him on phone in the night before he was murdered, complaining that the wife was threatening to kill him with a knife. The said neighbour however warned him to be careful. The deceased also called his mother and his younger sister complaining of threat to his life by his wife last  night.
 CP noted that not too long ago, a husband allegedly killed his wife and baby in Banana Island Lagos. He therefore advised couples to learn to resolve their matrimonial disputes without resorting to violence.
