IGP Idris Boosts Kaduna Security With More Personnel, Equipment
By Wale Abideen,ABUJA/ Security challenges has continued to be on the increase these days and so the people of Kaduna State were elated when the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris promised an enhanced police presence in the state. The Police Boss was on official visit to Birnin-Gwari area of Kaduna State to assess security needs of the people in the area. He ordered the immediate deployment of Two Hundred (200) Police Personnel and Ten (10) patrol vehicles to beef-up security in Birnin-Gwari, Kaduna State to Zamfara to flush out armed bandits in the area.
The prolonged crisis in southern Kaduna and other criminal activities in many Northern states would have suggested why the IGP held a Town Hall meeting with stakeholders in Birnin-Gwari Town on Wednesday. Having seen the need to for it, IGP Idris approves the creation of a new Area Command and two additional Divisional Police Headquarters in Birnin Gwari LGA, Kaduna State and deployment of Ten (10) patrol vehicles to enhance the capacity of the personnel of the Force in crime prevention and control in the area and curtail the security challenges currently being witnessed in Birnin-Gwari LGA of Kaduna State. Indeed, stakeholders applauded the IGP immediate response to their yearnings.
During the Town Hall Meeting, the IGP reassures the communities in Birnin Gwari LGA of the renewed commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to reduce violent crimes in the area to the barest, and ensure the utmost safety of lives and property of the people residing in the Area.
