Monarch Shouldn’t Associate With Secret Society’ Says Oluwo

“Monarchs are representative of God on earth, whom supposedly should conduct themselves in tandem with natural convention of morality. Obas are neutrally made and spiritually assigned. Adulteration of the royal institution is huge weakness for the surviving of the system. I am sure, certain and belief that, the recent acknowledgement by me is a green light for the survival of the traditional system. Supposedly, Obas should be available to address people`s plights. They are symbol of God spiritually qualified to arrest challenges of the populace. No monarch should associate themselves with any secret society”.

OBA (DR.) ABDULROSHEED ADEWALE AKANBI, TELU I, the Oluwo of Iwo Land, Osun state, Nigeria made this known in a statement made available to SECURITY MONITOR by his press secretary,  Ibraheem Alli. The outspoken traditional ruler noted that “kings are naturally made to be superior to everything except God. We represent God on earth. This account for the popular saying that “Oba ba Lori Ohun Gbgbo” meaning kings are the commandment of everything, including idols”.

Oluwo added that It is grossly disheartening when monarchs mingle with cultists. The cultists have their own unofficial appointed Oba that a natural Oba will bow for. It is an abomination and desecration of the revered stool by the occupier. Crowns are divined instruments given by God. There are schools to become Pastor and Alfa. Is there any school to become an Oba? Why will an image of God bow for human?

The enactment of enlightenment act as done in Great Britain in the early 1800 Will declare every secret societies illegal and members arrested if persist”. Oba Adewale Akanbi said.

The youth friendly Oluwo added that “Doing so will earn more regards to the kings among and clean our environment of sacrilegious ritual killings. Until this is done, traditional institution may continue to suffer disrespect from the secret cultists and many children loss to inhuman killings. Respect isnot accorded to most kings because some of them are junior in the secret ring. When a king subjects himself to the authority of his subjects in secret association, he is left with no option than walking with his head”
