FMC Lokoja Urges Health Workers To Resume Duty As JOHESU Suspends Strike

All members of the striking Joint Health Sector Union , (JOHESU) in  Kogi State have been directed to return back to duty immediately.

A statement signed  by the Head of Administration of the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Elder Stephen Family, today in Lokoja and which was made available to SECURITY MONITOR, said the directive followed a meeting between the Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole with all Chief Medical Directors, Medical Directors and Chairmen of Boards of Federal Tertiary Health Institutions on Monday, the 28 May 2018.

The statement urged all staff of the FMC to resume within forty eight hours.

It added that whoever refused to comply with the directive would be treated as  abscondment from duty which is punishable under the public service rules.
