Oluwo Congratulates Oyetola, Calls for Digital Governance
The digital monarch, Oluwo of Iwoland, HIM Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has charged the State of Osun Governor Elect, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, to operate digital governance as a build up on his predecessor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
Oluwo described Osun as a developing state thirsty of digital turn around, calling on governor-elect to transcend his predecessor in provision of social amenities.
As contained in a congratulatory message signed and made available to journalists by the monarch’s press secretary, Ibraheem Alli, Oluwo described the victory as hard fought, imploring Oyetola to embrace all inclusive government. The statement equally requested political stakeholders to see Osun governance as a collective responsibility being the source and primary home of all Yorubas.
Oba Akanbi lauded political actors for a peaceful poll despite the heated atmosphere, noting the demonstration was an attestation of an enlightened people.
He congratulated Oyetola for God’s mercy, saying his victory and birthday coincidence were symbol of progressive governance.
“The civility demonstrated during the gubernatorial election was an attestation of a matured people and hope to the survival of our democracy. With the conduct and comportment of the good people of Osun, I’m hopeful the future is bright. It shown we are educated and cultured to maintain such a calm tension”

Oluwo, being the Chairman of the Welfare Committee, Osin State Council of Obas, appeal encouraging welfare and advisory role for traditional rulers as the closest and most accessible government to the grassroots.
