Rights Group Seeks Intervention of IGP, PSC, Over Illegal Detention By F-SARS,Magbon

…………….Wants fake monarch to be declared wanted
A human rights group, the Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice
(CHRSJ) has called for the urgent intervention of the Inspector
General of Police (IGP), the authority of the Police Service
Commission (PSC), Assistant Inspector General of Police, the National
Human Rights Commission ( NHRC) and other concerned authorities over
illegal detention of Mr. Kolawole Olaleye, a young Barbing Saloon shop
owner in Ihunbo, Ipokia Local Government area of Ogun State, by the
men of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS), Magbon in the
State.
CHRSJ also alleged that the Police officers attached to F-SARS,
arrested Olaleye on trump- up charge and  vowed to eliminate him if
his family refused to pay the sum of N2500, 000 for his bail and this
made his wife, Mrs. Janet Kolawole Olaleye and other members of his
family to be running helter- skelter to source for money to save the
life of their bread winner.
Investigation conducted by the human rights organization (CHRSJ)
revealed that Mr. Olaleye had been arrested by the Officers of F-SARS,
Magbon led by one Officer Bello with Phone Number-08036110857 on the
order of one Mr. Joseph Olamide Adesiyan, a known smuggler, bunkerer
and land grabber, who is illegally parading himself as Onihunbo of
Ihunbo in the local government area of the State.
Investigation further revealed that the fake monarch, Mr. Adesiyan
alleged Olaleye of being part of those who thrown stone to his car,
but genuine information revealed that truly some under aged  children
who were playing with the stone , mistakenly thrown stone to the tyre
of his(Adesiyan) moving vehiccle.
Adesiyan urged the F-SARS Magbon to arrest those children with Olaleye
who was having Barber shop around the area but when Mr. Adesiyan got
to know that those children were children of his supporters on the
ancient town Obaship tussle, he told the men of F-SARS to release them
on bail except Barber Kolawole Olaleye since 15th of October, 2019 for
being the son of one of his opponents on the Obaship tussle till the
time of writing this report.
Another source from the Police (F-SARS) informed the CHRSJ that 26
people have been penciled down for the arrest in the town (Ihunbo) and
among them were; Ojo Jelili, Adeosun Adekunle,Fadairo Ojo,Ibrahim
Aina, Jimoh Lekan, Ibrahim Oro, Babatunde Akeem and Fadiro Sola,
noting that that they had earlier arrested  two of them  on the order
of Mr. Adesiyan which they paid N100,000 each for their bail from the
same F-SARS.
It added that it has been another means for Mr. Adesiyan to extort his
entire opponent on the Obaship tussle to weaken them and he (Adesiyan)
has been doing this illegality in collaboration with the men of
F-SARS, Magbon, adding that Adesiyan and F-SARS team already have like
mind Magistrates in the Magistraterial division of Ogun State where
they were perpetrating their evil deeds against the innocent citizens
of the ancient town of Ihunbo.
It would be recalled that the same Adesiyan had earlier ordered the
illegal arrest of innocent four DJs that were anchoring a birthday
programme on July 7th, 2019 at BEEBEE Hotel in Ihunbo, thereby
extorting their parents in return.
Meanwhile, speaking on the development, CHRSJ’s  Executive Chairman ,
Comrade Adeniyi, Alimi Sulaiman who strongly condemned the action of
the fake monarch (Adesiyan) and the men of F-SARS Magbon, in its
entirety, called for immediate and unconditional release of law
abiding citizen, Kolawole Olaleye  and also call for disciplinary
action against those alleged men of F-SARS by the Police authority in
the country, explaining that the group may  not hesitate to write the
Police authorities in the country to inform them of unprofessional
conduct of the said F-SARS officers.
Comrade Sulaiman, who doubles as National Coordinator of Coalition of
Human and Civil
Rights Organizations (COHCRO), wanted the fake monarch to be declared
wanted by the security agents over illegal allegation against the
innocent citizens of the State, expressing that Adesiyan with his
aides-in- crime, increased the tempo of their nefarious activities as
a result of closure of land boarders in the area by the Federal
Government which thwrted their illegal smuggling businesses.
