Court Remands Sir K. Oluwo At Sagamu Correctional Center

Sir K Oluwo
An Ogun state High Court sitting in Sagamu had ordered that the notorious land grabber, Kamorudeen Lamina a.k.a. “Sir. K. Oluwo” be remanded at the Nigerian Correctional  Center in Sagamu till 3rd December when his trial would continue.
Lamina, who is standing trial on a 7-Counts charge bothering on murder, threat to life as well as attempted murder among others had earlier been granted bail at the Sagamu High Court 1 before he was rearrested and re-arraigned at the High Court IV presided over by Justice Olajimi of the same judicial division on same offence.
When Lamina was brought to court yesterday in Sagamu, the prosecuting Counsel, who is also the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), E.A. Adewole had informed the court that Lamina violated his order earlier given on Wednesday 23rd October, 2019 that the accused be remanded at the Correctional Center in Sagamu.
The DPP further informed the Court that Lamina had been moving freely around the town and further causing commotion and harassments on innocent citizens.
But Lamina’s Counsel, Adebowale Odugbuwa, who for about four hours, prayed the court to be lenient with his client, also explained that the accused was only enjoying the bail earlier granted by High Cort 1 before his re-arraignment at the Court IV.
The DPP however, strongly disagreed with Odugbuwa as he insisted that Lamina’s violation of the court’s order was a deliberate one and targeted at putting the judge’s patience to test.
While ruling on the matter, the obviously annoyed Justice Olajimi, frowned at the accused and express disappointment that the counsel could encourage his client to test his patience.
The judge thereafter, ruled that the accused be remanded at the Correctional Center in Sagamu till 3rd December, 2019 for the continuation of the trial.
