Olokkoba’s Congress has no place in COSEG,remain suspended indefinitely.

The purported Congress claimed to have been held where the suspended secretary of COSEG ,Rasaq Olokoba has been described as the Congress of only his Oodua Youth Movement (OYM) which has no basis in the organization (COSEG) and as such is an exercise in futility.

This revelation was made on Tuesday in Lagos in reaction to the statement credited to the suspended secretary and one member of his OYM,in a press release signed by the chairman and publicity secretary of the coordinating council,Comrades Ifedayo Ogunlana and Dele Daramola,where Olokoba was described as a desperate person who wants to use all diabolical means to ensure he gets what belongs to all.

According to COSEG “Our attention has been drawn to a statement released by suspended secretary of COSEG Olokooba where he made mention of a fake non existing Congress affirming himself  as COSEG convener.

We wish to state clearly that since COSEG was formed, there is nothing known as Congress but a coordinating council

Coseg is an  amalgamation of  groups, with each group in COSEG nominating members to a leadership council who takes descisions  on all issues. The question to be asked Olokooba and his fellow Oodua Youth movement is, how can Congress come in here?

Who are the members of the Congress? Or how can OYM Congress be called COSEG Congress, not forgetting that Olokooba and Abosoyin whose their fake and uknown  Congress allegedly appointed as secretary is also OYM,a man known to be the personal assistant to Sola Olatunde the political secretary of OYM”

Continuing” with this clarification,we can see that OYM Congress is what they are referring to COSEG Congress. Anyway, we must inform the whole world that COSEG is being run by a council of all representatives of each organisation as members .

It is also important for us too to inform you that Rasak Olokooba was suspended by the council with a hand written signatures of all the council members except his OYM co  members and suspended comrade Taiwo Otitolaye.

We thought he will change his destructive and divisive styles but from various accounts, the council has  been justified with the sanction.”

Furthermore,we also want to advise the whole world not to have any transaction of COSEG with him at all as he still remain on suspension”.

“We advise all concerned, members and leaders of various groups and the general public to discountenance his fraudulent, inconsistent statement because we know him that  he is good at forming organisation of 4- 5 people and publicly decieve Nigerians, not forgetting his  recent 72  civil society member organisation.,so having failed to use that to attract Lagos Governor’s attention especially for  appointment,thus the return to attempt to hijack COSEG,which we have dealt with since last year via his indefinite suspension and his Co travellers in perfidy

Consistency of principle cum character, integrity and dignity are hallmark of quality of leaders,we cannot continue to identify with people who lack these key qualities.”

We therefore warn and very seriously too, all people who are having hands in the destructive awada kerikeri game being played by Olokooba and his OYM co- travellers to steer clear or have their hands burnt at the appropriate time.History too will never smile at them.we know these people and their names we will make public at the appropriate time

“We believe all oganisations should have a minimum standard of conduct and we feel if these conducts are consistently breached to the detriment of such organisation, there should be a sanction that will serve as deterent to others who would want to take that destructive route. This is what we did and we have not rescinded our descision.”

Finally”So,if he likes he should continue to form organisations to rival COSEG or rough shoulder with COSEG,we care less. All his attempt in the recent past to subsume COSEG under one of his irredentist group has failed and will always fail.

We therefore advise all concerned not to see seriousness in the suspended secretary and his coterie of unserious elements.

“The Congress of COSEG is using this medium to pass a vote of confidence on the Dayo Ogunlana led leadership. The other organizations’ leadership aside OYM is with Dayo Ogunlana  and Olokoba remain suspended till now. Akin Abosanyin is just one of the boys been pushed around and not in the collegiate of the organization.
