GROUP CONDEMNS GOOGLE SUSPENSION OF EMMANUEL TV, SAYS ITS DISCRIMINATORY AND ABUSE OF DUE PROCESS

A Nigerian NGO committed to the fight against injustice and domestic violence (CAIDOV) has described the suspension of the YouTube channel of Emmanuel TV as ” discriminatory and abuse of due process” and an attempt at killing one of the most popular watched TV stations in the world..

Reacting to the suspension on Tuesday in Lagos, CAIDOV in a statement signed by its Executive Director, Gbenga Soloki disclosed that from the investigation so far, the church or the TV station was never queried for the alleged offensive video, even once.

The CAIDOV boss equally asserted that from the hasty action of the You tube management, it has clearly exposed the plan to surreptitiously “kill Emmanuel TV” and by extension, the synagogue church of all nations.

According to him” the ban placed Emmanuel TV by the management of YouTube is condemnable , hasty and discriminatory. It lacks due process and it’s an attempt to kill the church of God and the television station. From our findings, no official query or warning was received from YouTube by the management of the TV station , yet a report was made and the other side was not heard, this is in all intent and purposes smacks of hidden agenda.”

” We are with the station and the synagogue church of all Nations in this battle to get back on YouTube in the interest of millions of its subscribers, ” the group averred.

Finally, the centre however urges the management of YouTube to lift the ban placed on the TV to allow fair play , whereby the highlighted videos can be queried and be pulled down if offensive in truth, while the position of the TV station can be heard..
