E-procument platform will reduce abuse and corrupt tendency, Says Kwara Must Change
A leading pro-democracy group, Kwara Must Change has commended the Kwara State government on the newly introduced electronic procument platform recently launched by the state government to enhance transparency, describing it as one of the most reliable template for ensuring transparency in procurement.
This statement was made by the Convener of the group, AbdulRazaq Hamzat while commenting on the recently launched e- platform.
Hamzat explained that, there is need for government to ensure that the e-platform is not only enforced across every facet of government transaction that has to do with public funds, it should also ensure that regular checks are done to guide against abuse.
This, Hamzat said,will ensure that government dealings are not only transparent, but are also seen to be transparent by all and sundry.
He therefore enjoined both public and civil servants who are the human elements that will interface between the e-platform, and the government to refrain from all negative tendencies that are capable of undermining the efforts of the state government in ensuring that public procurements are done transparently.
