Can you please tell us brief about your self?
My name is Joy Ubeku, An actress and a fashion model from Delta State in Nigeria. I hailed From the family of 9 and I’m the second to last born of my parent. I Currently based in Ghana.
Joy is your real name, what’s your nickname and who is your role model in entertainment world?
My nickname is Volcano (because I burn) haha and my role model in terms of modeling is Naomi Campbell.
How do you become a model?
I have always wanted to be a model but I never gave much importance to it. So, after my first beauty pageant, I had the confidence and push that I can realize my dreams through modeling.
What do you consider as the most encouraging things that prompt you into modelling?
My height!
Can you act, sing and dance?
I can act, rap and dance but not much of a singer though.
Have you experienced any challenges been a model?
Yes but that’s life, we keep going
What are the things you think government can do to make modelling a profitable project?
The only way government can make modelling a profitable project in my opinion is to partner with art and entertainment industry, fund entertainment events, featuring models. For example, beauty pageants and model shows.. With that, both the government and modelling stakeholders can all make money from these shows and events as entertainment is fast becoming a lucrative investment.
