Taiwo Salaudeen of Ibara Kitchen Lands in Police Net Over Fraud, Alleged Assassination Attempt

Kayode Adeyemo (Lagos) and Banke Bernice(Abeokuta)// Abdulrauf Taiwo Salawudeen, a middle aged man from Isara, Ijebu Area of Ogun has been arrested by FCID of the police from Alagbon, Lagos in connection to an alleged criminal offence.
Salaudeen, the owner of Ibara Kitchen, Abeokuta in Ogun State was alleged to have defrauded CreditAssist Investment Limited ( A.K.A Kolomoni) of Seventeen Million, Six Hundred and Forty Thousand Naira, N17,640,000:00 in the year 2020.
According to a petition to the police by Peter Adeosun, counsel to CreditAssisst Investment Limited, “Salaudeen also made a threat on the life of John Alamu, Managing Director of CreditAssist Investment Limited and threatened to kidnap him”
John Alamu, the MD of a micro-lending Company, having its registered address at First Floor, Tambourine House, adjacent Ventura Mall, Sango, Ibadan, Oyo State owns a mobile Application known as “KoloMoni App” which helps its Customers to operate internet banking and also perform various financial transactions such as e-wallet savings and loan facilities.
SECURITY MONITOR learns that on the 23rd March, 2021, while Alamu was traveling by road along, Abeokuta-Ifo Expressway to inspect some of his Kolomoni Agents within that Axis, a black Toyota Camry crossed his way and two hefty men came down from the car, moved towards our client’s car, and roared into his ear that “John, if you love your life, tell your lawyer to withdraw the recovery case before the High Court in Ibadan, A word is enough for the wise!”, hopped into their Toyota Camry saloon car, and drove away. Shockingly, Kolomoni MD. could not further the inspection, due to the fear of being attacked by the suspected hoodlums.
Just as if the above scenario was an empty threat, Kolomoni MD embarked on another journey to Ifo, Ogun State on the 7th of April, 2021 when the same unknown hoodlums, harmed with guns this time, in the same Toyota Camry, launched another serious attack at him at about 6 kilometers drive from Brewery Area, Ifo Road, Ogun State, and told Kolomoni MD that, “Taiwo Abdulrauf is not your mate, he is our boss, and today marks your last day, having failed to withdraw the pending suit against our boss”. With serious fear which almost led to heart attack, Kolomoni MD was at the verge of pleading with the harmed hoodlums, when two commercial buses approached the expressway, which made the hoodlums rushed into their car and drove off with serious speed.
Alamu alleged that Salaudeen is the prime suspect of attempts on his life. He addeed that he was the only one he had ever had any bitter encounter with. The petitioner stated tha the only transaction crisis or civil Suit he has in life was with Salaudeen and that this was occasioned by a legal means of his recovery his company’s over 17 million naira owning by Salaudeen. The recovery case involved SALAUDEEN ABDULRAUF, TAIWO, who in connection with one MOTUNRAYO TAOFEEK MARIAM Via the Kolomoni App defrauded Kolomoni of Seventeen Million, Six Hundred and Forty Thousand Naira (N17,640,000:00) sometimes in April, 2020.
Alamu however solicit, the intervention of the Nigeria Police Force in order to abate the threat to life and investigate the suspected criminal activities of the so called Abdulrauf Taiwo Salaudeen and his cohorts, as Kolomoni MD is vulnerable to assassination by the said TAIWO SALAUDEEN ABDULRAUF and his agents
Findings reveal that the Suspect appears to have a strong backing of some senior police officers. Sources told SECURITY MONITOR that a senior officer from FCID Alagbon facilitated Salaudeen’s release sometimes last year when he was first arrested by the IGP-IRT , Lagos Annex, in connection with the fraudulently obtained sum of Seventeen Million, Six Hundred and Forty Thousand Naira (N17,640,000:00), from Kolomoni.
Hence Alamu, appeals to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Baba Alkali to ensure justice is done in the instant case, stressing that Police is saddled with the responsibilities of protecting the lives and properties of every members of the society through the enforcement of laws and regulations, conducting investigations and prosecution of suspects as the result of investigation may so warrant.
