Easter Celebration: Shun Envy & Bitterness, Pastor Oluwalade Urges Christians

Nigerians have been urged to continue to imbibe the spiritual lessons of Easter period by showing love to one another irrespective of language and creed.
The Regional Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Region twenty four, Kogi State, Pastor Francis Oluwalade made the appeal while speaking with newsmen on the significance of the celebration.
He said the celebration demonstrates God’s love for humanity as well as the humility of Christ who offer himself as sacrifice to redeem mankind from sins.
According to him, the world is in disarray due to absence of genuine love.
He emphasized the need to live above envy and bitterness as a nation noting that love has the capacity to bring lasting peace and progress.
The cleric urged leaders at all levels to remember the less privileged in the society by formulating policies that will make life meaningful for an average citizens.
He also appealed to christians to avoid excessive and worldly celebration saying the period is meant for sober reflection on the price paid by Christ to save mankind.
