APC Builds World Class Institute As Leadership Expert Commends Ganduje

By Wale Abydeen/LAGOS// The quest for good governance and leadership reorientation has been identified as the motive behind the establishment of International Progressive Institute, IPI by the current administration of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje led All Progressives Congress, APC.
SECURITY MONITOR learns that the APC has concluded plan to establish an institute for the development of democracy and good governance in Nigeria.
Speaking in a public function in Abuja recently through his Chief of Staff, Mohammed Garba, the National Chairman of the APC said the establishment of the institute is first of its kind in the country .
Dr. Ganduje said the institute is aimed at training and educating politicians and other stakeholders on progressive ideals and to strengthen democratic principles.
Briefing SECURITY MONITOR on the state of the institute few days ago, the Chief of Staff to the National Chairman said that the proposal for the establishment of the institute has been approved by the National Working Committee of the party.
He added that the registration has be perfected and the curriculum of the institute is being developed.
‘’The institute is to instill progressives ideals on the politicians not only in APC but also from other parties. It will improve the quality of service by our public office holders. It will encourage good governance and strengthen democracy. It is called International Progressive Institute to educate leaders and intending leaders both within and outside Nigeria.’’
Affirming the commitment of the National Chairman of the party towards the establishment of the institute, Garba added that the institute is expected to commence operation before the end of the first quarter in year 2024 and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to unveil the institute.
Commending the APC National Chairman for his interest and efforts at making the institute a reality, Dr. Lanre Adebayo, Director General, DG of the Institute for Governance and Leadership Studies in Africa, IGLSA noted that Dr. Ganduje is not just a politician but a scholar who believes in capacity building amongst politicians and the strengthening of democratic values.
Adebayo added that giving the zeal and commitment to which the APC National Chairman is pursuing the institute, one would understand what the party and the entire nation will gain if fully operational.
A governance and Leadership expert, Adebayo lauds the APC government in its steady course for good governance and appeals to all stakeholders to support the APC leadership in its mission for democratic development.
