FIRE RAZED SAW MILL AT ABULE EGBA

By Olayiwola Ibrahim // Following a distress call by an unknown caller on a fire incidents at Abule Egba today.

Reports shows that the fire was caused by the snapping of a high tension power cable on a row of market stall which subsequently erupted in fire accompanied by a bang.

The Director, Lagos State Fire Service and Rescue, Mrs Margarette Adeseye stated that the resultant fire is aided by the dry nature of the combustible wooden materials involved leading to the sporadically spread.

Speaking further on the fire incidents, Margaret noted that five rolls of the stalls at Oluwa Ose plank and Buildings materials, nine vehicles consisting 5 mini buses, 2 pickup vans and 2 cars were totally burnt without no casualties recorded.

She applauded the team of the Fire Services from Agege, Alausa and Abesan for prompt responses well as Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Corps.

In her conclusions, she appealed to all residents of the State to be more careful, vigilant during this seasons.
