Gani Fawehinmi Awards: HEDA Extends Nomination Period

The Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA Resource Centre) is pleased to announce the extension of the nomination period for the 7th Edition of the Gani Fawehinmi Impact and Integrity Awards (GFIIA 2024).

The nomination window, initially set to close on August 11, 2024, has now been extended by two weeks, providing the public with an additional opportunity to nominate deserving individuals. The extended nomination period will run from Thursday, August 15,2024, to Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

The Gani Fawehinmi Impact and Integrity Awards honor individuals who havedemonstrated exceptional integrity and made significant contributions to societal improvement. This extension reflects HEDA’s commitment to ensuring that the public has ample time to identify and nominate outstanding individuals who embody the values of transparency, honesty, and integrity, as championed by the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi.

“We recognize the importance of providing adequate time for the public to participate in this prestigious awards process. By extending the nomination period, we hope to receive even more submissions that highlight the incredible work being done by individuals across Nigeria and the diaspora,” said HEDA’s Chairman, Olarenwaju Suraju.

The awards feature four distinct categories: the Outstanding Integrity Award,Outstanding Impact Award, Valuable Whistle-blower Award, and Nigerians in Diaspora Integrity Ambassador Award. HEDA encourages the public to take advantage of this extended period to submit nominations for those who have demonstrated unwavering commitment to integrity and have made meaningful impacts in their communities.
