By Olayiwola Ibrahim // At a recent sensitization seminar for Civil Society Organizations CSOs and stakeholders, Engr. Ibaim Oguejiofo, National Coordinator/Chief Executive of the Strategy Implementation Task Office for Presidential Executive Order 5, emphasized the importance of science, technology, and innovation in driving Nigeria’s development.

Organized by the NGO Network, the Executive Director, Mohammed Attah said the event aimed to promote Nigerian content in contracts, science, engineering, and technology, as mandated by Presidential Executive Order 5.

Engr. Oguejiofo stressed that education should empower individuals to provide for their families’ needs and contribute to national growth.

While highlighting the Presidential Order’s objectives.

Ibiam said that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision is to accelerate Nigeria’s growth through production, innovation, science, and technology.

Mohammed Attah, Executive Director of NGO Network, welcomed participants and urged Nigerians to patronize locally made products, challenge discrepancies, and foster innovation.

Otunba Dele Ajayi, President of ACDF Lagos State Chapter, encouraged Nigerians to tap into technological innovations, while Mrs. Rita advocated for proactive participation.

Barister Ayo Adebusoye, Secretary General of NNNGO, emphasized the importance of STEM education for innovation and technology.

Mr. Taiwo Onasanya advised participants to take advantage of the program, urging citizens to benefit from government initiatives.

In his closing remarks, Engr. Oguejiofo reiterated the National Policy for Science and Technology’s focus on innovation, technology, and employment opportunities.
