In Malawi, at least 47 students have graduated from Kamuzu Vocational and Rehabilitation Center, an institution under the Malawi Council for Disability Affairs (MACODA).

The graduation ceremony, held recently, marked a significant milestone in the institution’s efforts to provide vocational training to youths with disabilities.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, MACODA board member Marthayoshi Katangwe expressed encouragement, noting that more persons with disabilities are showing interest in enrolling in various vocational training programs.

He said this trend is a testament to the institution’s efforts to promote inclusivity and empowerment among youths with disabilities.

One of the graduating students, Hope Limawu, a young man with albinism who earned certification in carpentry and joinery, called on well-wishers to support the institution by providing start-up materials for graduates.
