WANTED DRUG KINGPIN NOLLYWOOD FILMMAKER ARRESTED OVER HUGE ILLICIT DRUG SHIPMENTS AS NDLEA NABS 2 LADIES FOR PRODUCING DRUG LACED CAKES FOR STUDENTS, EX-CONVICTS AND OTHERS
By Olayiwola Ibrahim // The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, has arrested a wanted drug kingpin and Lagos socialite, Alhaja Aishat Feyisara Ajoke Elediye, also known as Iya Ruka.
The 61-year-old filmmaker was apprehended on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at her Okota mansion in Lagos.
The arrest followed the interception of a truckload of illicit drugs consigned to her staff earlier that day.
Alhaja Ajoke, a prominent figure in Lagos social circles, had managed to keep her true identity as a top drug cartel leader shrouded in mystery for years.
NDLEA operatives, acting on intelligence, had been tracking Alhaja Ajoke’s movements before finally apprehending her.
Her arrest marks a significant breakthrough in the agency’s efforts to dismantle the drug cartel operating from Mushin, Lagos.
In related raids, NDLEA operatives also arrested two ladies for producing drug laced cakes for students in Kwara and Lagos.
An ex-convict and others were also apprehended in Kano and Rivers during the raids.
