IFMA Nigeria and Venco Partner to Accelerate Digital Transformation in Facility Management and Real Estate
By Morris Nor// The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Nigeria Chapter has entered into a strategic partnership with Venco Africa, a leading pan-African PropTech company and The Operating System for Africa’s Communities, to drive digital transformation, professional capacity building, and sustainable innovation across Nigeria’s Facility Management (FM) and Real Estate industries.
The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed in Lagos, is designed to promote the adoption of smart technologies, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen professional standards within the built environment.
“Our collaboration with Venco aligns with IFMA’s global mission to advance facility management through innovation, standards, and education,” said Engr. Sheriff Daramola, President of IFMA Nigeria. “By integrating technology and professional practice, we are positioning Nigeria’s FM industry to compete globally while improving the quality and sustainability of managed assets across the country.”
Through its proprietary digital infrastructure, Venco automates core community operations — including service charge collections, access control, utility vending, and issue resolution — across residential and commercial properties in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya. The company currently powers more than 40,000 property units across 14 African cities, enabling smarter, safer, and more transparent communities.
Chude Osiegbu, CEO of Venco Africa, added: “This partnership is about building the digital backbone of Africa’s real estate and facility management ecosystem. Together with IFMA, we’re equipping professionals with the tools and data to manage buildings more efficiently, predictably, and sustainably. The future of FM is data-driven — and Africa will not be left behind.”
As part of the collaboration, IFMA Nigeria and Venco will jointly organize training programmes, research initiatives, and knowledge-sharing events focused on digital transformation and sustainability. The partnership will also feature joint participation in industry gatherings, including the upcoming Real Estate Management in Africa (REMA) Conference 2025, convened by Venco.
The conference, themed “Structures Beyond Buildings: Managing Africa’s Urban Communities,” will hold on November 6, 2025, at The Podium, Lekki, Lagos, and will bring together over 400 developers, facility managers, policymakers, and PropTech innovators to shape the future of African urban living.
The partnership underscores a shared commitment to raising standards, enhancing competitiveness, and advancing innovation within Africa’s built environment.
