GOVERNOR ADELEKE PRAISES THE CUSTOM COMPTROLLER GENERAL ON HIS 60TH BIRTHDAY
By Olayiwiola Ibrahim // Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has congratulated Bashir Adeniyi, Comptroller General of Customs, on his 60th birthday, praising him as a reform-minded, innovative border management specialist.
Adeniyi has transformed the customs service into a modern, digitized service aligning with President’s federal reform agenda.
The governor acknowledged Adeniyi’s contributions to national development, integrity, and transparency, and expressed pride in having an Osun indigene lead the World Customs Organization.
Other notable figures have also congratulated Adeniyi, including President Bola Tinubu, who praised his leadership and efforts in transforming the Nigeria Customs Service into a globally competitive institution.
The President of the Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria (APFFLON), Otunba Frank Ogunojemite, also commended Adeniyi’s strategic initiatives and transformative leadership.
