Police Rearrest Dino Melaye After Abuja Court Granted Him Bail

By Ore Fitr,ABUJA/ The embattled Senator Dino Melaye, representing Kogi West district of Kogi State has been rearrested by the police after a Wuse Zone 2 Chief Magistrate’s Court in Abuja today, Wednesday granted him bail of N90 million.
Melaye was arraigned by the police on allegations that he escaped lawful custody. He was granted a bail for N90 million.
The Senator was said to have been rearrested by the police and taken to Force Headquarters in Abuja. Sources close to Melaye told SECURITY MONITOR that Police whisked the senator to away after being granted bail by the court
The troubled Senator who escaped being recalled from his constituency as las weekendhas been hospitalized since his refusal to follow the police to Lokoja, Kogi state capital for trial over allegation of criminal possession of guns and other crimes. Melaye was said to have being arraigned by the police today, Wednesday.
The senator, according to close associates who sends updates to SECURITY MONITOR may be moved to Lokoja on Wednesday afternoon. The sources confirmed that the state of health of the state notwithstanding the police seems to be adamant and planning to take him through the journey of Abuja/Lokoja road.
