Upbeats As Cooperative Federation of Nigeria Elects Excos In Kogi State

By Ola Simon,LOKOJA/ The newly elected executive members of the Kogi State Cooperative Federation of Nigeria have been charged to work towards fulfilling it’s mandates for the improvement of the living standard of the people.
The Chairman Electoral Committee of the federation, Chief Joseph Bello, gave the charge while inaugurating the executive members of the corporation in Lokoja.
Chief Bello urged the elected members to see their success as a call to higher service and urged them to carry everybody along in the scheme of things.
He commended the delegates for their comportment and sense of maturity saying, out of two hundred and five corporators that were accredited, one hundred and sixty turned up for the election.
In a remark, cooperative leader from the central part of the state, Cheif Muhammad Ogirima, who observed that the election was free and fair urged the executive members to work in unity which is the hallmark of a successful association.
Similarly, his counterpart from the Western Senatorial District, Mr Joseph Araga, promised to stand by the executive members and described the election as a notable achievement despite series of misunderstanding and divergent opinion.
In his inaugural speech, the President of the Federation, Mr Femi Samuel, said the success of the corporators are largely  linked to the prosperity of the corporative societies and assured of transparency, integrity and courage in all his endeavors.
He also promised to promote the welfare and development of members for the overall development of the state.
Other executive Members of the federation include; Vice President One, Mr Oboni Nuhu, Vice President two, Mr Abdullahi Bello and Treasurer, Comrade Moses Mohmoh.
