2019 Election: Why I Aspire For House of Reps- Lois Auta

By Daudu Huleji Emmanuel

The obsolete time in politics that the women and physically challenged people in the society are not given equal rights in the base of governance in Nigeria is gone. This credit actually goes to the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Over the years since the inception of democracy in the country, priority have never been attached to the physically challenged people and women in the country as it is now attained in the APC led administration.

Its know doubt that it is a practical revolutionary history created by the government to have the physically challenged in the helms of government.

Few years back in this administration the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on physically challenged people was created, same to the governors alongside local government area councils.Hmmm indeed first of its kind in the history of democracy in Nigeria.

This was an expensive political point that the APC government have earned to itself and its worth acknowledging. The administration under the watch of president Muhammadu Buhari had not only limited its good deeds within the circumference of the physically able people in the society but have expanded its scope beyond limits to the physically challenged in the society thereby creating equal right, sense of belonging and above all changing the political and democratic narrative in the country and Africa at large. Indeed APC is for All and for No body.

Lois Auta founder of CedarSeed Foundation, aspiring for House of Representative AMAC/Bwari Constituency speaking with newsmen recently  in Abuja expressed deep satisfaction with the revolution in the Buhari led administration “Buhari had proved himself to be a leader with a difference by seeing us the physically challenged fit to be involved in the affairs of government at all levels”.

The House of Reps aspirant under the APC platform hampered on reasons why she is the most qualified candidate for that seat. ” physical challenge in me is just a special feature that would showcase to the world the ability in me. I might be physically challenged but the competence is there, the character, technical know-how, intellectual ability and the legislative passion are all embedded in me”.

Lois who passionately spoke with newsmen on her ambition pleaded with the people of her constituency to believe in her that through her, up to a brim legislative representation at the Federal House of Representative would be attained. “I will not turn down the expectations of my electorates if given the mandate. They would be rest assured that I would be one of the most active and vibrant legislature to bag the highest  motions, bills to the benefit of my constituency. My focus would be on the improvement of social amenities, infrastructure, education, empowered, job creation and to take up  other human related challenges that would be unfolding during my representation. These will be the practical achievements that would be spread proportionally within my constituency”, she added.

Furthermore, she advised the people of her constituency to take adequate advantage of the extension of INEC voters registration to register and collect their PVCs that franchise be exercised by every member of the constituency. ” vote for me for the best ever representation at the Federal House of Representative,  AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency”, she added.
