Atunwa May Be Disqualified As Kwara PDP Guber Candidate Over Fake NYSC Cert.
The proverbial saying that the downfall of a man may be an opportunity for another man favour Bolaji Abdullahi, former sport minister as he is tipped to replace Razak Atunwa as the PDP guber candidate in Kwara state for the next general election.
Sources within Ilorin hint SECURITY MONITOR that Atunwa who emerged the party’s candidate in the last primary election may be disqualified due to his alleged National Youth Service Corps, NYSC Certificate forgery scandal.
Atunwa is facing rejection and prosecution for forging the NYSC discharge certificate which he submitted to the PDP to prove his eligibility for public office.
It was said that Atunwa’s alleged plan to present secondary school certificate as his highest qualification after getting into trouble for purportedly swearing under oath at Kwara State High Court in Ilorin that he had university degrees and participated in NYSC between 1995 and 1996.
Atunwa, a serving member of the House of Representatives, defeated Sha’aba Lafiagi, the senator currently representing Kwara North and about eight others to pick the PDP ticket.
