7 Political Parties Withdraw For Kogi ADP Rep Candidate, Abejide

Seven political parties have collapsed their structure in support of the House of Representatives Candidate of the African Democratic Party, Engineer Leke Abejide ahead of Saturdays election.

Addressing thousands of the party’s supporters in Isanlu, Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State, the Director General of Leke Abejide Campaign Team, Mr Okabode Kayode who expressed delight at the turn out of event appluded the decision of the party men to join the winning team.

He assured that they will be given equal treatment and opportunity as old members and urged them to be resolute in their quest to actualise their dreams in the next election.

In a remark, a one time Chairman of Yagba East Local Government Area, Mr Olushola Adebola popularly known as Gaddaffi described the Aspirant as an illustrious son of Okun land who has passionately empowered the youths and the less privilege.

He explained that the Aspirant singlehandedly paid the WAEC fee of all students of Yagba Federal Constituency which reflect his deep interest in the success of younger generation.

Gaddaffi maintained that the Aspirant has also supported the people through his Free Medical Program which has assisted many people in meeting their health needs.

He urged the people to support the Aspirsnt adding that plans are on to give financial assistance to various cooperative societies by next week.

In a remark, the House of Representatives Aspirant, Engineer Leke Abejide who was visibly eleted through out the program said his decision to run for the election is to alleviate the suffering of the people.

He assured that he will continue to assist the needy in the society saying the era of selling Constituency project is over.

Leke expressed appreciation to those who join him in the quest assuring that equal opportunity will be given to them.

He urged his numerous supporters to stand firm and refused being intimidated by failed political parties that are desperate to use violence to rig election and appealed to them to monitor the results to avoid being shortchanged.

Those parties that vouch to work for ADC includes: CPP, ADP,LP, friends in APC, AY Awoniyi faction of SDP and Kwakwansia Movement.
