BUHARI, NOW THAT YOU’VE BEEN RE – ELECTED BY DAVID FIDELIS

I must first congratulates President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, and his Vice, Prof. Oluyemí Osinbajo the incubent President/ Vice, and  candidates of the All Progressives Congress  in the last Saturday’s Presidential Election having scored a total number of 15, 191, 847( Fifteen Million, One Hundred and Ninty One Thousand, Eight Hundred and Forty – Seven) votes to defeat his closet rival Alhaji Atiku Abubaka, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party who polled a total number of 11, 262, 978( Eleven Million, Two Hundred and Sixty Two Thousand, Nine Hundred and Seventy Eight) votes.
With such a great and huge margin of 3, 928, 869( Three Million, Nine Hundred and Twenty Eight Thousand, Eight Hundred and Sixty Nine) votes, I say, SAI BABA next level was actually sealed and delivered. Comrade Kenny Ogunkorodeand I said it even before the election that Baba is coming back and now he’s back.
At this juncture, permit me to dissect, pieces, ex – ray and analyze the votes according to the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria so that we can no the strength and weakness of each region.
In South Western Nigeria comprising of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti, APC scored a total number 2,036,439 votes compared to PDP who scored 1,776,881. Thus, APC won with a difference of 259,558 votes.
In the South – south comprising of Rivers, Cross River, Akwa- Ibom, Delta, Edo, and Bayelsa  which are regarded as the major jurisdiction of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP  polled 2,190,338 votes to defeat APC who scored 1,104,940. The analysis above shows that PDP won South – South with only a difference of 1,085,398 votes. To me, that looks too low from PDP, after all, former President, Good luck Ebele Jonathan, Chief Edwin Clark are from this region.
PDP also won in South – Eastern States of Abia, Ebonyi, Imo, Anambra and Enugu with 1,693,485 votes but it was below my expectations as it only won with a margin of 1,289,520 votes. Considering the threat of IPOB and the alleged marginalization of the Igbos, I couldn’t believe that APC could still score 403, 978 votes from the region.
My mouth was agape when I discovered that APC won in North Central states of Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger and Pleteau excluding FCT with a gap of 551,066. In other words, APC scored 2,313,375 votes to defeat PDP polling 1,762,308 votes.
When I saw the votes that came from North- Eastern States of Borno, Yobe, Gombe, Taraba, Bauchi, and Adamawa, many questions were coming out of my mind such as “David, are you sure that it is human beings Boko Haram have been killing in Borno, Yobe, Taraba, Adamawa since 2011? Are you sure that this people are not counting trees in that place? Are you sure it’s not underage voting? Are you sure that this people aren’t counting ghost?” etc. In that region alone, APC scored 3,238,783 votes winning with a margin of 1,983,212 votes while PDP scored 1,255,571.
In the Sixth region of North – West comprising of Kaduna, Sokoto, Kano, Kebbi, Jigawa, Katsina and Zamfara, the results  was also heartbreaking as APC won with a gap of 3,715,206 votes. In other words, APC scored 5,995,651 votes while PDP polled 2,280,445 votes.
Fellow Nigerians, with the above anaysis, Southerners  seems to be baby in Nigeria politics.  All we seems to know is big big grammar, social media comrades, how to wear suits, drive big cars, how to do Yahoo, lucrative business etc.
The average northern man may look dirty, uneducated, unexposed, deprived or stupid but he possesses a knowledge of the importance of PVC, political power and how to use it. The Hausa-Fulani are not by any means stupid. In fact, they are masters of Nigerian politics. As my cousin, Engr. Godwin Mathias will always say ” I stand to be corrected” on the above believe.
Now that Buhari and Osinbajo have been re – elected to mount the seat of power for another four years culminating in 2023, it’s high time they end the blame game and build upon their little achievements. Buhari, please, we are tired of hearing ” PDP destroyed Nigeria for 16 years” or “HATE SPEECH”. Follower of political events in Nigeria would now be very familiar with this comments by the APC. One can euphemistically say that was the song of APC since 2015.
On a more important note, one would have thought that having identified PDP as responsible for destroying Nigeria, the APC would avoid them like a plague. But these guys including the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Featus Keyamo, Adams Oshiomhole etc seems only hypocrites, they are shameless and experts in double standards.
Your Excellency Sir, I must first commend you for the little you’ve done so far in the transportation sector, agricultural sector, fight against corruption, road construction and mentainance.
However, It is not an understatement to say that despite the very high level of confidence a large section of Nigerian population had in President Mohammed Buhari which led to his victory in the 2015 presidential election, his leadership in this 1st term  has been allegedly characterised by selective anti-corruption war, astronomical increase in price of petrol, administrative lapses, policy somersaults, lopsided appointments, appointment of dead people as board members of some Federal Government agencies, incessant herdsmen’s attacks’ leading to the chronic and unabated killing of innocent Nigerians most especially in North East and North Central among others. Your Excellency Sir, these issue must be properly looked into in order to restore the hope people have in you.
My intelligent friend, Barrister Arijeniwa Adedoyin Alexander said, It is interesting to note that some of the key members of the President inner circle who worked for his re – election have complain charges pending against them and this has undermine the credibility of the President with respect to the fight against corruption thus enhance the popular belief that the war against corruption is selective and one – sided. A good number of these politicians who worked for Buhari’s re-election have pending corruption cases bordering on stolen monies worth about N300bn include: Abdullahi Adamu (N15bn); Aliyu Wamakko (N15bn); Godswill Akpabio (N100bn); Orji Uzor Kalu (N3.2bn); Babachir Lawal (N223m); Rotimi Amaechi (N97bn); Abdul’aziz Yari (N680m); Adams Oshiomhole ($51m); Bola Tinubu (N100bn); Abba Kyari (N500m); Musiliu Obanikoro (N4.7bn); Folarin Coker (N3bn). Ditto Babachir Lawal’s  –  N220million grass cutting saga. This time around, Buhari must not be scarred on stepping on their toes.
Buhari, please don’t forget that Nigeria has become the poverty capital of the world. 86.9 million Nigerians are now living in extreme poverty. This represents nearly 50% of its estimated population of 180 million. This must be addressed instantaneously.
In reference to Dele Mohmodu, publisher of Ovation Magazine, he wrote that according to NBS, Nigeria’s debt profile grew by 40% within the first 2 years of the Buhari government. Currently, Nigeria owes N22.4 trillion ($73.2 billion). This was not the change we want. Now, it’s Next Level abi? This abnormalities must be addressed.
Your Excellency Sir, I think it’s high time you rejig your Ministers because some of them are mediocrities and must be replaced people with integrity, equanimity and intelligence if you actually want to take Nigeria to an achievable Next Level.
Sai Baba, no more excuses in the the National Assembly as you have the majority in both the House of Senate and House of Representatives.
Sir, now that you have been re- elected, you must begin to obey the Rule of Law because despite court orders for their release, your agents have kept Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and Sambo Dasuki illegally incarcerated. We can’t continue like this abeg.
According to UNICEF, 13.2 million Nigerian children are now out of school. This is the highest in the world. Of which 69 % of these out-of-school children are in the North and I guess that was why you introduced school feeding programme but it seems not yielding enough result.
Your government make claims to have saved trillions of Naira in the Treasury Single Account (TSA), still, you keep gallivanting around the world in search of foreign loans. Habaaa!! Sai Baba,we can’t continue like this.
Your Excellency Sir, this time around, you must obey the principle of Federal Character because it is obvious that Northerners seems to dominate the heads of security agencies with NSA (Borno); Chief of Army Staff (Borno); National Security Adviser (Borno); EFCC (Borno); Minister of Defense (Zamfara); Chief of Air Staff (Bauchi State); IG of Police (Nassarawa); NSCDC (Niger); DSS (Kano); Nigeria Immigration Service (Jigawa State); Nigeria Customs Service (Bauchi State); Nigeria Prison Service (Kebbi State).
According to Nigeria Bureau of Statistics (NBS),Nigeria’s unemployment rate rose from 18.8% (in 2017) to 23.1% (in 2018). It went from 10.4 million in 2015 to 21 million in 2018. This issue must be urgently addressed as an iddle hand is a devil’s advocate.
The growth and development of people is the highest calling of leadership. Nigeria can’t grow and we can’t move to next level when workers are still collecting 18,000 as minimum wage, we can’t move to next level while you fail to address the discrepancy between HND and BSC; we can’t move to next level while we are still  having mass poverty in Nigeria; we can’t move to next level if Nigerians still sees you as a president for the Northerners; we can’t move to the next level  when a single man is giving birth to 20 children and government aren’t doing anything to stop the trend; agricultural backwardness nko? unemployment Problem and unexploited Natural Resources inclusive.
Need I say more? Once again, congratulations PMB.
Congratulations Nigerians.
Atiku Abubaka, accept defeat and let’s move forward.
Meet you at the NEXT LEVEL.
