GILS Leadership Summit & Award Holds On Sunday
The 2019 conference and conferment of awards organised by the Global Initiative for Leadership Success, GILS, will hold on Sunday, May 5, 2019.
In a statement signed Friday in Abuja by the president of the Initiative, High Chief Sunnie Chukwumele, the forum aims to discuss issues bothering on leadership and governance with target to generate fresh ideas towards tapping into the wealth of human resources left unutilized.
With the theme; Nigeria in search of awakened leadership; organisers hope that participants would seize the platform to further cross-fertilize ideas on the task of value addition towards nation building.
Chukwumele explained that honour would similarly be bestowed on identified deserving individuals and organizations that have distinguished themselves in leadership, mentorship and service as part of the highlights of the event.
“The society, just like an individual responds to good commendable feats; so we must always learn to applaud excellence to motivate people of repute while provoking workable innovations to tackle identified and envisaged challenges confronting us as a people of a developing nation,” the statement said.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Barrister Boss Mustapha, is expected to grace the occasion as Special Guest of Honour, among other eminent participants that would converge for the one day conference, at the Merit House, Maitama in Abuja.
