NOA DG Wants Staff To Exhibit New Attitude To Work

Sequel to the directive of the Director General, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Dr. Garba Abari for management and staff of the Agency to re-dedicate themselves to job ethnics and exhibit new attitude to work. The Director, Lagos Directorate, Mr. Waheed Ishola for the fourth time, had had series of meetings with management and staff of Lagos Directorate of the Agency in a bit to draw the importance of the memo cum circular.

Addressing about 200 staff of the Agency from the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas of the state at the State Headquarters in Ikeja on 1st of November, 2019 the Director read for the fourth time the memo from the Director General as minuted to him. He appealed to ADOMOS and COMOS to see that no staff in the Local Government absent his or herself from work without a written permission and that any staff found guilty of dereliction of duty and abscondment, the necessary disciplinary processes would be initiated in line with the extend rules. Meanwhile, staff were made to sign document for attending the meeting even as he promised to treat the circular to the latter.

Speaking on the general performance of Lagos Directorate in the out going year, the Director commended management and staff for coming tops in submission of reports to National Headquarters, in percentage, 100%. He tasked them to redouble their efforts especially now that there is a directive for behavioural change of attitude to work. Highpoint of the meeting was the presentation of certificates to 26 staff that successfully completed a three month in-house capacity building programme.
