CHILD PROTECTION NETWORK (CPN) LAGOS STATE, ADVOCACY VISIT TO NATIONAL ORIENTATION AGENCY (NOA) STATE HEADQUARTERS IN IKEJA, LAGOS STATE.
For a better synergy and understanding of their workings for the next three years, the new executives of Child Protection Network (CPN) Lagos State, in persons of Ronke Oyelakan, State Secretary, CPN; Lateef Akinborode, Deputy Coordinator; Asnefeso Rasheed, Secretary; Mrs. Yemi Aileru, Treasurer and Mrs. Otitologun Olajumoke, Welfare Officer on Monday the 29th of March, 2021, paid an advocacy visit to the Corporate Headquarters of National Orientation Agency (NOA) Lagos Directorate in Ikeja.
Addressing the Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA) Lagos Directorate, the State Secretary, CPN Lagos State, from pastor Bimbo Odukoya Foundation, Ronke Oyelakan, said that the mean purpose of the visit was to introduce the new executives to the Director and equally present their proposed project objectives with UNICEF for the year. She talked about partnership and how to strengthen the existing relationship with NOA especially in the Local Government Areas where they are in operation.
In his response, the Director, Mr. Waheed Ishola thanked the New Executives for finding time to visit the Agency. He said that he was happy to see the crop of fresh and dynamic young men and women as the new executives to run the affairs for the next three years. He wondered why it took time to have the election because it was long overdue. He promised to study the submitted Project proposals and to adjust where necessary for ease of implementation. He further assured that he would be very open to the new executives in order to see that the assignments are done properly and in good time.
Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of Child Protection Network project proposals to the Director. In attendance were the Deputy Director, Planning, Research and Strategy, National Orientation Agency, Mrs. Tomi Awosusi and the NOA UNICEF Desk Officer, Mr. Sunday Aimianu.
