CDHR LAGOS ELECTS NEW OFFICERS; ‘Comrade Kehinde Adeoye of Festac Unit of the organization was elected as chairman’

The Lagos branch of foremost human rights organization, the committee for the defence of human rights on Sunday elected officers that will run its activities in the next two years.
Earlier before the election, the chairman of the transition committee, Comrade Akeem Dauda disclosed that the election will be free, fair and peaceful as his committee is committed to a transparent process.
He enjoined those to be elected to see their offices as commitment to the improvement of the organization.
Two offices, the treasurer and secretary were returned unopposed , while the chairmanship was contested by three members and after , Comrade Kehinde Adeoye of Festac Unit of the organization was elected as chairman having scored the highest vote among the contestants.
Before the declaration of the result, the three candidate attested to the fairness of the process.
