WHY ISA PANTAMI SHOULD BE FIRED BY PRINCESS FUNMILAYO ADESANYA-DAVIES

Ex- female presidential candidate, Princess Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies has lent her voice to that of many Nigerians calling on President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government over the ongoing frantic and burning debate, on the sensitive position of “Minister for Communications and Digital Economy, and the need for President Muhammadu Buhari to sack his appointed Pantami or he resigns.

Sheikh Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami is a Jumu’ah Chief Imam who has been leading the Jumu’ah prayer for over 20 years in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

In a second paper, Princess Adesanya-Davies buttresses the call on President Buhari government to sack Pantami as a matter of urgency. She said, she reached these purported conclusions after researching and painstakingly reading through certain information and documents as regards the position of Pantami concerning his support for extremist Islamist sects and terrorism in Nigeria, in the past.

She exemplifies, as said, “One unmistakable way to know who a person really is, is by studying his deeds and the type of friends he keeps. Alhaji General Muhammadu Buhari’s appointment of Sheik Isa Patami, as Minister for Communications and Digital Economy – a strategic ministry -, clearly speaks volumes.

“Read this forwarded message about Sheik Isa Aliyu Pantami: My New Living Translation of the Bible asks this leading question: “Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?” I know that God will, one day, deliver this country from Buhari and his gang.” Pa. Prof. Olusola Ajolore.

Now the forwarded message: “HOW SHEIK PANTAMI’S FATWA LED TO MURDER OF 400L STUDENT, ACHI SUNDAY. “For former students and staff of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in Bauchi, the recent news about Sheik Pantami’s terrorist activity is not new to them, because as Chief Imam of the University Mosque he was directly involved in the instigation and coordination of various attacks on non Muslim students and staff of the University.”

“In 2004 when a group of Christian students from the ECWA Student Ministries (ESM) embarked on evangelism, Patami declared that one of the tracks distributed was blasphemous against the Holy Prophet, causing the Muslim students to go on rampage attacking other students and destroying property, later that evening he issued a FATWA on the five students who went out to preach, instructing that it was not enough to destroy property and injure people, stressing that blood must be spilled whenever there’s blasphemy against the Prophet therefore, insisting that a life must be taken.

Later that fateful evening a group of Muslim students acting under Sheik Pantami’s instruction barged into the hostel, dragged the leader of ESM, Mr. Sunday Achi from his room, took him to a remote location within the school premises and stoned him to death. The discovery of his corpse the next morning led to a series of religious crisis that forced the school to shut down.

On another occasion he also instigated Muslim students to protest the appointment of Dr Andy Iheme as Registrar of ATBU, according to him Dr. Iheme was not only a Christian but he was also a Pastor in a local church in Bauchi and they would never allow a Pastor be registrar in the school. Why else will students protest the appointment of a registrar by university authorities?

Similarly he engineered crisis to abort the SUG elections on campus when it was clear that a Christian student Mr Mone Ayerni was going to emerge victorious against his Muslim opponent, he told the Muslim students that it was against the ethos of Islam for any Christian to Lead Muslims in whatever capacity, this led to a series of religious crisis also leading to closure of the school.

Recently he has been identified as the spiritual adviser to Kaduna state governor Mallam Nasir El Rufai and to the governor of his home state, Gombe. He encouraged El Rufai to adopt a Muslim Deputy in the 2019 elections insisting that a Muslim lady as deputy is more acceptable to Islam than a male Christian, even though Islam frowns at female leadership.

The recent crisis in Gombe can also be traced directly to his counsel to the current governor of Gombe state, who appointed a Muslim traditional ruler (Mai Tangle) over the Christian dominated LGA of Billiri with over 95% Christian population. Reports also indicate that the Gombe state Governor also intends to adopt the El Rufai option by nominating a Muslim as his deputy in 2023 on the advice of Sheik Pantami.

Sheik Pantami is known for his extremists teachings across University campuses in Northern Nigeria, he preached severally in support of the Boko Haram terrorist while they were burning down churches and killing Christians, he only changed his views against them when they started attacking his fellow Muslims and burning down mosques.

It is our earnest prayers that Justice will be served on this violent Jihadist and no matter how long it takes, he will pay for all the lives lost as a result of his message of evil and hate.” WE PRAY, AMEN, prays nonagenarian Pa. Prof. Olusola Ajolore.

As Chief Femi Fani-kayode rightly said, “The sooner he is dropped from President Buhari’s cabinet like a hot potatoes and brought to justice the better. The world is watching.” (FFK) And “Both the Muslims and Christians of Nigeria must all be protected and treated fairly and equally under the law and neither must be killed or persecuted for their faith. There is no room for fundamentalism on either side”- @realFFK.

FFK added, “I considered giving Pantami a soft landing a few days ago and opted to forgive him for his offensive, dangerous and repugnant vituperations only because he had publicly expressed his regrets, but this is no longer the case because his expression of remorse was clearly not genuine or heart-felt… Again, “For him to publicly express the fact that he is “happy” when those he described as “unbelievers” are murdered reflects his homicidal, sociopathic and psychotic mind-set and is not only indefensible but also unforgivable.”

“Simply put the Minister is a hater of Christians and non-Muslims. He is a religious bigot, an ethnic supremacist, an unrepentant jihadist, a lover of bloodshed, carnage and terror and a psychopathic and clearly insane individual who may well have been responsible for the slaughter of many innocent Christians over the years as a consequence of his inflammatory rhetoric and reckless actions. Not only is the cold-blooded beast called Pantami not fit to be a Minister of the Federal Republic but he is also not fit to walk our streets freely because he presents a grave danger to our people and our society.

And there is so much more that he has said and done, including his alleged participation in a frightful event in Bauchi state a few years ago which allegedly resulted in the tragic death of a young Christian student and which I will write about at a later stage.

Adesanya-Davies laments, subbing, “IT’S GETTING BADDER AND BADDER, AND THE WORSE AND WORST ARE YET TO COME, if care is not taken, because the position of “Minister for Communications and Digital Economy” is too sensitive to be held by a jihadist oriented and terrorism-compliant prone individual in Nigeria in times like this, in the name of personal favouritism, political interest, religious variable or federal character balancing. This is a very sensitive position to the nation and posterity will unfailingly judge President Muhammadu Buhari, if he insists, and he Malami also imposes himself.”

Thus, “It’s unwise to level Northern Nigeria or sell the entire Nigeria at large! “Oh my! Nigeria would be fast disappearing on the world map as one country as things are going very soon o!” – Bishop Prof. Adesanya-Davies cries out.
