Hushpuppi: Why Abba Kyari May Not Be Extradited’, –Attorney-General’s Office
Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice has said that it is yet to receive an official communication on the arrest warrant issued against a Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the United States.
The arrest warrant was issued following the indictment of Kyari in a $1.1million cyber fraud involving a suspect, Abass Ramon aka Hushppuppi.
Umar Gwandu, an aide to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), who disclosed this in an interview noted that a transfer process would not commence until there is a request from the United States to that effect.
