How Okada Rider Lost his Life to N100 Argument in Lagos

By Sesan Awobiye/LAGOS/ There was a Pandemonium at the early hour of today the 2nd of November year 2022 at AIT road of Alagbado area as an okada rider Mr Yusuf Ogunmefun stabbed one Mr Balogun Adeyemi Musa to death .

Musa also known as Baba Rokiba was a popular welder (iron bender ) in the neighbourhood.

According to Musa’s neighbour who claimed anonymity who gave an eye witnessed
incisive narrative to a journalist from Momentous Magazine explained the argument of inappropriate payment,
The bike rider, Mr Yusuf Ogunmefun had a disagreement with his passenger Mr. Balogun Adeyemi Musa who refused to pay N100 difference for his transportation services, after he dropped him.

A passerby who heard about the disagreement offered to give the bike rider N200 so he can forget the issue and let peace reign but rather the bike man Mr Yusuf refused the N200 gesture, insisting that his passenger Musa must be the one to give him his N100.

The passenger insisted he wont pay N100 and the bike rider started a fight.

After much struggles, Yusuf attacked Musa, injured him and pushed him on the floor vehemently. He immediately rushed to get an old bottle from the floor which he broke
and stab him on the neck and was bleeding profusely.

Yusuf then took to his heels but was apprehended by people and then handed over to Policemen at AIT Alagbado Police station.

A good samaritan then rushed the injured Musa to G&T hospital where the doctor on duty tried to stitch his neck but he died eventually after so much loss of blood.

As at the time of filling this report the remain of Balogun Adeyemi Musa has been deposited in a mogue while the culprit Yusuf Ogunmefun is at the AIT Alagbado Police station for interrogation.

 

The unfortunate incident occurred at Igbeyiadun Street Around AIT Alagbado Lagos State.
