PDP SOUTHWEST COMMENDS NEC FOR CHOOSING IBADAN TO HOST NOVEMBER 2025 NATIONAL CONVENTION

The leadership and teeming members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Southwest Zone wish to express our profound appreciation to the National Executive Committee (NEC), the National Working Committee (NWC), the Board of Trustees (BoT) and the PDP Governors’ Forum, for unanimously choosing the Southwest zone and specifically, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital as host of the November 2025 National Convention of our great party.

All members of our Party in the southwest and of course across the country are satisfied with and applaud the choice of Ibadan, being a political hub of the Southwest to host this very significant event.

This gesture is not only a testament to the strategic relevance of the Southwest in the overall architecture of our great party, but also a clear indication of the confidence reposed in the region to deliver on national assignments with distinction.

We assure the national leadership of the PDP, as well as all stakeholders, that the Southwest is fully prepared and committed to organizing a seamless, peaceful, and highly impactful Convention in Ibadan in a manner that will reflect the true democratic spirit and organizational excellence that the PDP is known for.

We equally reaffirm our unwavering loyalty and commitment to the unity, progress, and electoral success of the PDP at all levels. The entire Southwest zone stands united and ready to welcome delegates and leaders from across the nation to Ibadan and a region that exemplifies order, hospitality and political maturity.

The PDP Southwest remains a stronghold of the party, and we shall continue to work collectively to deepen democratic values, promote internal cohesion, and mobilize towards victory in future elections.
