KUNLE BURAIMOH FOUNDATION CELEBRATES MILESTONE WITH 10 MILLION NAIRA CYBERSECURITY DONATION TO OSUN STATE UNIVERSITY

By Olayiwola Ibrahim / Lagos // The Kunle Buraimoh Foundation has marked a significant milestone in its journey to promote development and societal progress in Osun State.
In a grand celebration held at Osun State University, Oshogbo, the foundation donated N10 million to the Faculty of Computing Technology to support cybersecurity initiatives.
The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including the Ataoja of Oshogbo Land, HRM Jimoh Olanipekun Latoya 11, and the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Dipo Oluwoye, who was ably represented.
Other distinguished guests included Vice Chancellor, Prof. Odunayo Clement, Prof. Grace Oluyemi (OAU), Rtd. Justice Adekunle Adeigbe (Asiwaju of Oshogbo Land), and Prof. Waheed Tunde (Unilorin).
The General Secretary of the foundation, Dr. Toye Adefioye, shared the impact of the KB Foundation since its establishment on September 16, 2023.
According to Dr. Adefioye, the foundation’s mission is to create opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive.
He highlighted the foundation’s achievements in 2023, which included providing 100 school bags and 3,000 notebooks to students of St. Francis Primary School, Isale Aro, Oshogbo.
In 2024, the foundation continued its philanthropic efforts by paying the Junior Secondary School JSS 3 promotional examination fees of N250,000 for students of Olutimehin Grammar School, providing school uniforms, and promoting Oshogbo Art and Culture Icons.
The Vice Chancellor of Osun State University, Prof Odunoyo Clement,commended the Kunle Buraimoh Foundation for its commitment to promoting education and societal development in the state.
He urged other stakeholders and private sectors to emulate this act by promoting education.
The Chairman of the Foundation, Prof. Kunle Buraimoh, stated that serving the community is his priority, noting that the essence of this initiative is to educate people on goodwill.
He thanked all members and the board of KB Foundation for their support.
During the ceremony, a short debate on cybersecurity advantages and disadvantages was held by students, with winners and participants receiving awards, including tuition fee payments and cash prizes from the Foundation and his Father Baba Jimoh Ibrahim.
This milestone donation marks a new significance in the state’s educational landscape, demonstrating the foundation’s dedication to supporting initiatives that drive progress and development.
