FCT POLICE PERSONNEL PARTICIPATE IN INTENSIVE FORENSIC AND FRAUD INVESTIGATION TRAINING PROGRAMME..
By Morris Nor// In a continued effort to improve personnel capacity and enhance professionalism in criminal investigations, the FCT Police Command, in collaboration with HRH, Erelu Dr. Pearl Chidinma Ogbulu, BIA, CCrFA, CCFI, through Pearl Forensic Risk Advisory Services, organized an intensive one-day Forensic and Fraud Investigation Training Programme for its personnel and other stakeholders, with the approval of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM. The training was held on 8th June, 2026, at the Police Resource Centre, Jabi, Abuja.
The programme was aimed at strengthening participants’ capacity in modern forensic and fraud investigation techniques to enhance professionalism, improve investigative competence, and support effective crime detection and prosecution.
The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, PhD., FCAI, formally declared the training open and commended the organizers for their commitment to capacity building within the security sector. He urged participating personnel to maximize the opportunity by acquiring the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to effectively tackle emerging and sophisticated forms of crime. The CP further emphasized that contemporary policing demands continuous learning, innovation, and adaptation to evolving criminal trends.
The training featured presentations and practical sessions on forensic investigation, fraud detection, evidence management, investigative procedures, and other critical aspects of criminal investigations. Participants were equipped with valuable insights and best practices aimed at improving operational efficiency and the quality of investigations across the criminal justice system.
At the conclusion of the programme, participants were presented with Certificates of Participation in recognition of their successful completion of the training. The FCT Police Command remains committed to supporting initiatives that enhance the competence of its personnel and strengthen the effectiveness of policing and criminal justice administration within the Federal Capital Territory.
