governor, Mr. Akinwumi
Ambode to ensure the immediate release of the Two principals and Six
Senior Secondary School students of Lagos State Model College,
Igbonla, Epe area of the State, condemned the State government for its
lackadaisical attitude to the security of the citizen of the State,
particularly, the pupils and Students of both Primary and post-primary
schools across the State.
It also urged Governor Ambode to resign his position as the State
helmsman, if as Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the State could not
protect the lives and property of the citizenry as stipulated in the
Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, saying that the
incessant kidnapping of the School children in the State have become
alarming which the State authority should not take with levity hand.
It disclosed that the call was imperative as the security situation of
the commercial nerve of the country have been degenerated to the
unbearable level, calling on the security agents in the State to
ensure the release of the abducted school children unconditionally in
no distance time.

Adeniyi, Alimi Sulaiman and a copy was made available to newsmen on
Tuesday, stated that as a voiceless group to the voiceless citizens of
the State, it could not fold its arm and allowing the State government
to be treating the issue of security of lives and property of the
citizens with kid glove, urging the Ambode led State Executive to be
alive to its responsibility or being impeached from office.
Comrade Sulaiman saluted the courage of the affected parents of the
kidnapped children for refusing to pay any alleged ransom to the
kidnappers, stressing that the mindboggling incident was occurred as a
result of the failure of the State government in the area of security
provision upon all the acclaimed huge funds being spent on the
security of the State through special intervention funds tagged
“Security Trust fund-STF) .
The group then sympathized with the parents and family of the abducted
school children, advising them to have faith in God and that their
Children would soon be released to them unconditionally.
It would be recalled that the kidnappers had earlier in October last
year kidnapped four students and two staff of the same school before
they were released later.
