Prince Chukwunonso Nwoko of Idumuje Ugboko and his Agents Reject Peace Where He Hopes To Be King

By Uzor Okolie from Idumuje Ugboko…. The budding hopes for peace in Idumuje Ugboko area of Delta state has suffered a devastating blow by the complete and utter refusal of Prince Chukwunonso Nwoko to agree to peace of any kind in the community.

Encouraged by the fact that so far the thugs and assassins he mobilised to eliminate those he perceives as his opponents like  the Iyase, the Odogwu, Kennedy Iloh and others and destroy their homes and properties are still walking about freely having not been arrested by the police (only 3 weeks ago over 50 hired thugs, cultists and assassins organised from as far away as Yoruba land (OPC) and funded  by people like Okey Ifejoku ( IUDU President ), Uche and Chris Aligbe, Okey Omezi,  Princes Mbanefo and Chukwunonso Nwoko and increasingly suspected by the security agencies, a prominent oil tycoon from idumuje Ugboko, stormed round the village in the middle of the night attacking indigenes whose only sin was their support for the establishment of a university in Idumuje Ugboko promoted by Prince Ned Nwoko. At the end of their assault over twenty homes, many of them owned by very poor members of the community were destroyed and about five elderly people were beaten to a coma. The Iyase of Idumuje Ugboko, their main target for speaking the truth is alive today only owing to prompt medical attention) .

In spite of this massive assault on his supporters, Prince Ned Nwoko severally pleaded with the youths of the community to exercise restraint and give room for peace as advised by the Assistant Inspector General of Police Zone 5 Benin City. But Prince Chukwunonso Nwoko and his supporters have shown their utter contempt for peace amongst other gestures by their latest refusal to attend or even send a representative to a peace meeting summoned at the palace of the Obi of Idumuje Unor by ten traditional rulers from Anioma on Sunday 11th of June, 2017.

Meanwhile support for the establishment of the university in Idumuje Ugboko continues to mount by the indigenes of Idumuje Ugboko, many of whom are now being freed from the falsehoods and misinformation supplied by Princes Chukwunonso and Mbanefo Nwoko and their cohorts, and the support is even larger in Aniocha North Local Government Area and the whole Anioma land who can forsee the undeniable benefits of a sports and academic university in their backyard. One of the imperative questions that must be raised from this assault on innocent Idumuje Ugboko indigenes by Prince Chukwunonso Nwoko and his agents arises from the fact that Prince Chukwunonso, Mbanefo, Chris and Uche Aligbe, Okey Ifejoku and the rest of the selfish cabal have taken pains to propagate that no one supports the establishment of the university in the community. If this were true, then who are their agents attacking? From subtle investigations we have discovered that an overwhelming number of indigenes of Idumuje Ugboko who know the facts of the case (especially since Princes Mbanefo and Chukwunonso revealed their personal motives for opposing the university at Police Zone 5 in Benin) wholeheartedly pray for the takeoff of the university for they know that it would provide jobs and other benefits to them, their children and the community.

Residents of the area however  appeal to the security agencies to ignore the baseless attacks on their integrity by Prince Chukwunonso Nwoko, Mbanefo Nwoko and their ilk: for attacking those who do not submit to their pettiness, jealousy, tyranny and violent methods are their stock in trade, and carry out their duty by tracking down, arresting and prosecuting everyone involved in the planning, funding or execution of  that night and day of terror in Idumuje Ugboko,  for only through justice can peace be achieved in Idumuje Ugboko.
