Aregbesola Rejigs Media Team, Elevates Okanlawon

Rauf Aregbesola,the Governor of the State of Osun seems to be battling with image decline. Following the last rerun election in the state, media reports about him depicts an ‘angry residents under a progressive governor’. It was on this corrective measure that prompt the governor to appoints Semiu Okanlawon as a Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
Given his fountain of knowledge in field journalism at the PUNCH Newspaper, Okanlawon who was until his new appointment the Director, Bureau of Communications and Strategy, Office of the Governor also doubled as the spokesperson of the governor. SECURITY MONITOR learns that with new media team coming on board, Okanlawon would be able to be equipped with more resources to champion a media onslaught ahead of the next year gubernatorial election.
In a recent press statement by Adelani Baderinwa, the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy the state government also appoints a media expert, Sola Fasure as Media Adviser.
Fasure who was on the Editorial Board of The Nation newspaper, was in Charge of writing the Governor’s Speech before his new appoint. The commissioner stated that the appointment takes immediate effect. And the new media team certainly has a great battle ahead.
Security Monitor scoops that concern stakeholders in Aregbesola’s led APC government both within Osun state and in diaspora is of high fever over the events that would snowball to the next general elections in the state. More so that the prime opposition party is regrouping to seize power.
