Kogi SUBEB Boss Oshatimeyin Hails State Assembly over Counterpart Fund
The Chairman of the Board, Mrs Deborah Oshatimeyin who gave the commendation while speaking with newsmen in Lokoja said the approval came at the right time.
Mrs Oshatimeyin said the development would pave way for the execution of the Universal Basic Education Commission’s projects for the year twenty fifteen and sixteen noting that priority would be placed on on the specific needs of each school.
She maintained that the projects would also be tailored towards meeting up with the 9:3:4 system of education which was recently approved by the Federal Government.
She explained that some staff of the Board are currently on the field to access the infrastructural deficit in each school pointing out that projects such as the perimeter fending of schools, library, computer centre would also be considered.
The Executive Chairman of the board also assured that the three model girls colleges built by UBEC in Dekina, Yagba East and Mopa Amuro Local Government Areas will be revived by September this year.
