NAF boss pledges commitment to defend the country

In its continued effort to maintain it’s traditional responsibility of protecting the sovereign integrity of the of the country, the Nigerian Airforce has once more assure Nigerians of its ever readiness to do its utmost to meet the statutory responsibility of defending the Territorial integrity of the nation.

The chief of Air staff,Air Marshal Sadiq Baba Abubakar,was represented by the Air Officer Commanding Logistics Command, Air Vice Marshal IJ Yahaya,made the remark recently during the commissioning of two newly constructed class room blocks at the Airforce comprehensive secondary school Ibadan and also the newly built and refurbished Airmen’s club at 671 NAF detachment.

The Airforce had been very effective in the ongoing operation in the North East where the military had sustain the fight against terrorism resulting in major breakthrough for the country and bringing hope back to the large number of residents who have deserted communities in Borno and neighboring States.

The recent commissioning of the class rooms blocks was part of the Airforce boss commitment to further improve the environment of the school for teaching and learning.

The Airforce marshal noted that” the relocation of some students into the new classrooms will ease congestion and gradually pave way for the renovation of existing classrooms.

In his welcome address the commander 671 NAF detachment Ibadan, Air Cdre OJ Lawal, said that  the intervention of the Air Staff Marshal SB Abubakar has helped to reduced the problems of infrastructure put in place in Ibadan.

It will no doubt it help to enhance social activities and further improve civil military cooperation among the personnel.

According to him,we also believed that the additional responsibilities that have been to the detachment have no doubt influenced the steady increase in the strength of the airmen from the past to its current strength.
