HAPPENING NOW: Kwarans Stage Mass Protest Against APC Bad Governance in Ilorin

By Sanjo Adeyemi, ILORIN/ A coalition of civil societies in Kwara State organised a peaceful demonstration in the heart of the city today, 4th of October, 2017. The protest which was largely attended by youth and Civil Societies in the state started around 9:30am.?

The protest was well organised and received by patriotic citizens of Kwara State. ?

The procession started from the Stadium gate up to Unity Roundabout where PDP chieftain Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, Mall. Omar Aiyelabegan and James Adewale Gbadeyan of JAACK and igbeayerere of Kwara addressed reporters and protesters.

The protest was against ?issues like the proposed 60 million loan of the state Government,  paltry 5000 bursary for students during holidays, failed water reticulation issue since 1993 to mention a few.

The interesting side to it is that protesters that gathered since 9.30am refuse to disperse as at the time of writing this report.

Men of the Nigeria Police Force displayed  uncommon level of professionalism. ?
