Lagos Residents Protest Against ‘End SARS’ Campaign

Residents of Ijora Badia community  under the leadership of Sariki Mai Kanuri of Lagos State stage rally at National Stadium in Lagos  shown their concerned over the campaign against Special Anti-Roberry Squads also
known as SARS.

The protesters who displayed placard with different contents tagged such as : “Support the Inspector General of Police reorganization of SARS,

Say no to Armed robbers and kidnappers,

Encourage SARS to end violent,

when you end SARS you welcome armed robbers,

Investors needs a crime free environment,

Encourage SARS to do their job”. were displayed and they engage passersby in dialogue over the ‘end SARS campaign.

Speaking at the venue, Alhaji Baba Talba who spokes on behalf of Hausa Protesters expressed his grieves that SARS must not be banned.
” The throngs who sprawled here for the protest are of different ethnic groups such as Hausa, Kanuri, Igbo, Yoruba and others notable tribes.

SARS are the most affable security for every responsible Nigerians. We are in a civilian society which give room to challenge any security agencies that violate any citizens rights.
” let everyone follow the normal procedures if their rights are vilotaed instead of clamouring to end SARS.

SARS has been contributing  to the development of Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole in fighting crimes. As regards to their priceless activities towards ensuring a crime free environment. We don’t want them to be wiped off”. He added

” We all have representatives in the National Assembly, they would definitely addressed the issues as far as they are our representatives. Ending of SARS is not the panacea.” He

added.
Mr. Waheed Ladejobi, the Yoruba representative during the protest also said that those who clamour against SARS is definitely a criminal because SARS are meant to fight crimes.
” Before the advent of SARS, many lives was as risks. I would rather implored the Inspector General of Police to wipe away the bad eggs amidst the SARS. And lets them work according to the law of the Federation”. He suggested.

Mr Eric Okafor, a business man a representative of Igbo speaking said that Sars is very important in fighting crime across the nation

He advised federal government to restructed Sars because without them people cannot do their business or investor can invest people will suffer .
